• OGEFREM issued a Special Mandate dated 30 June 2016 commissioning Butisol Capital Partners (Pty) Ltd to engage Transnet and financial institutions regarding the development of the Kasumbalesa Dry Port
• A Letter of Appointment written by OGEFREM dated 26 August 2016 commissioned Ishnana to perform the following tasks:
(i) Secure dedicated spaces within RSA ports for management of the Congolese freight
(ii) Develop a management system for freight from and to the DRC transiting through RSA ports
(iii) Enforce relevant legislations pertaining to the transportation of Congolese freight
(iv) Mobilize financial resources fort the development of the Kasumbalesa Dry Port Project.
• A Public Private Partnership Agreement was signed between OGEFREM and Ishnana on the 27th January 2017 in line with the appointment of 26 August 2016 (NB: it is noted that the agreement extended the scope of work to also include freight transiting through the Namibian ports)
